Solution:

Let A's age be x and B's age be y

$x = 24 + y$

$x - 10 = 5(y - 10)$

putting value of x

$24 + y - 10 = 5y - 50 \\ 64 = 4y \\ y = 16$

$x = y + 24 \\ = 16 + 24 \\ = 40$
