Present ages:-

Let the present age of B be x years

Then, the present age of A will be (x + 24) years

10 years back:-

Age of B = (x - 10) years

Age of A = (x + 24 -10) years = (x + 14) years

Given: 10 years back age of A was 5 times age of B

(x + 14) = 5(x - 10)

➮x + 14 = 5x - 50

➮14 + 50 = 5x - x

➮64 = 4x

➮x = 64/4

x = 16 years

Present ages:-

Present age of A = (x + 24) years = (16 + 24) years = 40 years

Present age of B = x years = 16 years
