a = 5% of b --- ( 1 )

a = 480

put a value in ( 1 ) , we get

480 = ( 5/100 ) ×b

( 480 × 100 ) / 5 = b

9600 = b

Therefore ,

b = 9600

b = 24% of c

9600 = ( 24/100 ) × c

( 9600 × 100 )/24 = c

40000 = c

b = 9600 ,

c = 40000

That is..
