In context to question asked,

We have to determine the age of B.

As per question,

A is 5 years older than two-fifth of B’s age.

A is 13 years old

So, converting the above statement in mathematical form,

We will get,

A =\frac{2}{5}B+5\\=>13=\frac{2B}{5}+5\\=>13-5=\frac{2B}{5}\\=>8=\frac{2B}{5}\\=>B=\frac{8\times 5}{2}\\=>B=\frac{40}{2}\\=>B=20\:years

Hence, age of B will be 20 years
