A is cycling on the road.He observes that when he stops pedalling the cycle stops after moving a certain distance.Is it because of frictional force or some other contact force

actually, if we speak about the contact forces, then frictional force is the one that is responsible. but the resistance provided by air also results in the reduction of speed. hope this helps.:)
