Because wild green coverage is an important part of our ecosystem. It also prevents soil erosion and maintains groundwater level.

rate of percolation = water absorbed per minute.

therefore, if 200 ml of water is absorbed in 40 minutes, the rate of percolation is 200/40 i.e. 5 ml per minute.
