Given:

A is north of B

C is west of B.

to Find:

Find the direction of A with respect to C?

solution:

As given in the question that A is north of B.

We will draw A above than B with a straight line on the paper because north of B will be upwards.

As given in the question that  C is west of B.

We will draw C to the left of B with a straight line on the paper because west of B will be left.

Now join A and C on paper, we will get a straight line which will be at 45° with the line joining B and C and this will be in anticlockwise direction of

A⇒C, A⇒C represents the East direction.

direction at 45° anticlockwise with east is North - East.

Hence A will be in North-East direction with B.
