Answer:

(d) 32 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Let B alone complete the work in x days

So A can complete the work in x/3 days

In one day part of work done by,

B=1/x part

A=1/(x/3)=3/x part

A and B can do the work together in 24 days,

Their 1 day work= 1/24 part

now,

A and B one day work= A's one day work+ B's one day work

1/24=1/x+3/x

1/24=4/x

x=24×4=96

Hence, A alone completes the work in 96/3 days = 32 days
