let B be x and A be 2x
(A+B)' s 14 days work is equal to 1
(A +B)'s 1 day work is equal to 1/14
this can be written as X + 2x =1/14
3x =1/14
x =1/42
let's multiply both sides of this obtained equation by 2
2X=1/42 * 2
2x=1/21
so time taken by a to complete piece of work is 21 days
