A is twice old as B. Five years ago A was 3 times as old as B. Find their present ages??

solution.
Let tha age of A is a & age of B is b
ATQ,
=> a= 2b.... (1)
And, according to second condition.
=> (a-5) = 3 (b-5)
=> (2b - 5) = 3b - 15... [using 1]
=> -b= -10
=> b= 10
putting the value of b in 1.
=>a= 2*10
=> a= 20
so, age of A= 20 years and age of B= 10 years
