  • Bilirubin is formed after the processing of the dead Red Blood Cells in the Liver.
  • The retention of bilirubin the blood causes the body to develop yellow pigmentation.
  • Jaundice is usually caused by the infection of liver by the Hepatitis Virus.
  • (ii) Antibiotics are effective against bacterial infection mostly, so they will not be effective in curing virus mediated Hepatitis.
  • (iii) Antibodies are designed to target the metabolic pathway of bacteria and certain parasites. They cannot target viruses as they have a different  life cycle.
