Answer:

₹60960

Step-by-step explanation:

Original price =76200

1st discount she got =15% off

2nd discount =5%more

total discount= 15%+5%=20% off

76200×20/100=15240

15240 is discounted price

Now subtract =original price-discounted price

=76200-15240=60960

So,60960 is the final payment.

Solution:

Original Price = Rs. 76200

Marked down by 15% at start of sale.

Discounted Amount = 15% of 76200 = (15 * 76200)/100 = 15 * 762 = 11430

Reduced price will be = Original Price - Discounted Amount

                                     = 76200 - 11430

                                     = 64770

Reduced price is Rs. 64770.

Now, there is a further 5% down on  the reduced price.

Discounted Amount = 5% of 64770 = (5 * 64770)/100 = 3238.5

New Reduced Price will be = 64770 - 3238.5 = 61531.5

Total discount amount received by Megan on Original Price is =>

Original Price - New Reduced Price

76200 - 61531.5

14668.5

The total discount amount received by Megan on Original Price is Rs. 14668.5
