Answer:

total no. of balls = 40

let green balls=x

probability of green balls =x/ 40

2/5=x/40

x=16

no. of red balls=total balls -green balls

Step-by-step explanation:

total number of marbles in a jar=24. let the number of green marbles be =x. then the number of blue marbles =2/3 2/3 =x/24 3x = 48 x =48/3=16. the number of green marbles in the jar=16 therefore the number of blue marbles in the jar = 24-16=8
