A jar contains 5 litres of oil 6 bottles each of capacity 8 dl or filled with oil from the jar so 0.2 L of oil is left in the jar

Total capacity of the jar = 5L = 50 dl              [As we know that, 1L = 10dl]

Also capacity of 1 bottle = 8 dl

So, capacity of 6 bottles = (8×6)dl = 48dl

Thus the capacity of oil remaining in the jar =

(Total capacity of oil in jar - Capacity of oil in the 6 bottles)

= (50 - 48) dl

= 2 dl

= 0.2 L                                                               [As 1dl = 0.1 L]

So, 0.2 L of oil is left in the jar.
