A jar contains 54 marbles each of which is either blue, green or whit the probability of selecting a blue marble at ramdom from the jar is 1/3 and the probabiityof selecting a green marble at ramdom is 4/9 how many white marble does a jar contain

If P( blue marbles)= 1/3
Then 18/54 = blue marbles are 18
If P(green marbles)= 4/9
Then 24/54 = green marbles are 24
Therefore, blue marbles+ green marbles+ white marbles = total number of marbles
18 + 24 + white marbles= 54
White marbles= 54-42= 12
