A jar contains 80 litre mixture of milk.and water in the respective tatio of 7:3. how much water should be added to get a new mixture having milk and water inrespective ratio of 8:5?

milk : water

7 : 3

7x : 3x = ( 7x + 3x ) = 10x

10x = 80 liter

X = 80/10 = 8 liter

7 × 8 = 56 liter milk

3 × 8 = 24 liter water

this ratio

8 : 3

56 : 24

will be

8 : 5

= 56 : 35

water add 35 - 24 = 11 liter
