Let the no of red marbles be x and that of blue be y .

Case 1,

x/y=1/1

→x = y .......(1)

Case 2,

x/(y+25)=3/4

→4x= 3y + 75 .

→4x = 3x+75 {using (1)}

→4x-3x =75 .

→x = 75 .

Now , using (1),

y = 75 .

Thus , no of tiles that the jar contains originally = (x+y)= 75+75=150.
