Let x be the no. of 10paisa coins and y be the no. of 25paisa coins
no. of 10paisa coins + no. of 25paisa coins=42
x+y=42. x=42-y
now total amount in the jar is 7.50 Rs. = 750 paise
now 10x+25y=750
10(42-y) +25y=750
420-10y+25y=750
15y=330
y=22 coins
