A Java book is comprised of two sections, core and advanced Java, in the ration 7:2. How much of each type of content will be needed to make a book of 450 pages?

let number of pages containing the core section = 7x
and advanced java =2x
7x+2x=450
9x=450
x=50
number of pages containing core section = 7x=7*50=350
and advanced java = 2x=2*50=100

ratio given = 7:2
total number of pages = 450 pages
sum of ratio = 7+2
= 9
number of pages the core section has = (7/9)/450
= 7*50
= 350.pages
number of pages in the java section = 450 - 350
= 100  pages.
