a jeweler allow a discount of 16% to his costumer and still gain 20%.find the marked price of a ring which cost the Jewelers rs 1190.

  16 % discount means , 100 - 16 = 84
  20 % gain means ,    100 + 20   = 120
 
 = 1190 * 120 / 84 
 = Rs . 1700
