10days if 16 women complete a job.
since how many women require to complete the job in a 40days.
10+10+10+10=40
16+16+16+16=64.
that's mean 64women complete the job in a 40days

4 women are required to the work in 40 days.

GIVEN

Number of women = 16

Days to complete = 10 days.

TO FIND

A number of women required to the work in 40 days.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows-

We know that,

Work done = Number of days × number of women

Work done = 10 × 16. (Equation 1)

Let the number of women required to complete the work in 40 days be, x.

So,

work \: done \:  = 40 \times x

Since work done is same, So,

10 \times 16 = 40  \times x

x =  \frac{10 \times 16}{40}

x = 4

Hence, 4 women are required to the work in 40 days.
