Given A B C D E F G are seven members of a joint family of which three are female.

B and D are siblings and and their father is F.

● G (Female 1) is a widow and sister-in-law of F.

● A(Female 2) is daughter of B.

● C is cousin of B. i.e., C is son of G.

● The only one female missing in the joint family is wife of F and she is E (Female 3)

● Therefore E is wife of F

E is the 3rd female in this join family. She is F’s wife. That means E is sister of G and the Mother of D and B.

Explanation:

  • In this join family, there are seven members A, B, C, D, E, F, G with three females.
  • G is a widow(Female), and she is sister-in-law of F.

So G’s sister is F’s wife.

  • F is father of D.
  • B and D are siblings.

So F has 2 children, B and D.

  • A is daughter of B.

That means A is another Female in this family.

  • C is cousin of B.

So C is son of F’s sister/brother.

So in this family we found 2 females. They are G and A.

But this family have 3 female. That means E is the 3rd female.

E is female so she is F’s wife. That means E is sister of G, Mother of D and B.

We can’t say E is sister of F because this family has only 3 females, not 4.
