Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Radius(r) = 7cm
  • Slant height (l) = 20cm

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Curved Surface Area of Cone
  • Area of sheet required to make 10 such caps

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

We know that,

Curved Surface Area of Cone = πrl

πrl = 22/7 × 7 × 20

22 × 20

440 cm²

  • Area of 1 cap = 440 cm²

Now,

  • Area of sheet of 10 such caps = 440 × 10 = 4400 cm²

Given :

A joker’s cap is in the form of a right circular cone of base radius 7 cm and its slant height is 20 cm.

To find :

Find the area of the sheet required to make 10 such caps

Solution :

  • Radius of cone (r) = 7cm
  • Slant height of cone (l) = 20cm
  • Area of cone = ?

Area of sheet required to make caps = curved surface area of caps

Curved surface area of cone

→ πrl

→ 22/7 × 7 × 20

→ 3080/7

→ 440 cm²

Area of 10 caps = 440 × 10 = 4400cm²

Hence, the area of the sheet required to make 10 such caps is 4400cm²
