Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

  • Radius = 12 cm
  • Height = 5 cm

To find -

  • Area of the sheet required to make 10 such caps.

Solution -

l² = r² + h²

→ l² = (12)² + (5)²

→ l² = 144 + 25

→ l² = 169

→ l = 13 cm

Now , area of 1 cap = πr(r + l )

→ area  \: of \:  1 \:  cap =   \large[{\frac{22}{7}} \times 12 \times  (12 + 13)] cm²

→ area of 10 caps = 3.14 × 12 × 25 × 10

→ area of 10 caps = 9420 cm²
