Answer:

\sf\: 5500\:cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

  • Radius of cone(r) = 7 cm
  • Height of cone (h) = 24 cm.

To find :-

  • The area of sheet required to make 10 such caps

Solution :-

\rule{300}{1.5}

Surface area of cone is = πrl

slant height(l) = \sf\sqrt{h^2 + r^2}

\sf{\implies}\: l = \sqrt{24^2 + 7^2}

\sf{\implies}\: l = \sqrt{576 + 49}

\sf{\implies}\:l = \sqrt{625}

\sf{\implies}\: l = 25\:cm

\rule{300}{1.5}

Surface area of jokers cap = \sf\dfrac{22}{7}\times 7\times 25

⇒ Surface area of joker’s cap = \sf\: 550 cm^2

∴ the area of the sheet required to make 10 such caps

\sf{\implies}\: 550 \times 10 cm^2

\sf{\implies}\: 5500\: cm^2

5500cm

\mathfrak\pink{Step-by-step explanation: }

Radius = 7 cm

Height = 24 cm

The area of sheet

\mathfrak\pink{Surface..area.. of.. cone..is = πrl \\}

\sf{\implies}\:</p><p>l = \sqrt{576 + 49}\\</p><p>⟹l= 576+49	\sf{\implies}\:</p><p>l = \sqrt{625}\\</p><p>⟹l= 625\sf{\implies}\: </p><p>l = 25\:cm \\</p><p>⟹l=25cm h 2 +r 2

⇒l=550 cm^2550cm 2

Hence, the area of the sheet needed to make 10 more caps

550×10cm 2

⟹5500cm
