A karate player needs a large force to break the tile because tile is solid it is rigid, it has great molecular force of attraction. so it needs great force to break it where as water is liquid, it has low molecular force of attraction as compare to solid so it needs less force to cut through water. where as liquid has kinetic energy so when we apply force on water it molecules starts moving easily.
