Given:

Length of piece of rope = 8.5m

Length of small pieces of rope needed = 1.7m

To Find:

How many pieces of the required length she will get out of this rope

Solution:

ATQ

Length of piece of rope = 8.5m

Length of small pieces of rope needed = 1.7m

Number of small pieces :-

= Length of piece of rope/Length of small pieces of rope needed

= 8.5/1.7

= 5

Hence, kavita will get 5 pieces of the required length out of this rope.

Answer:

The length of the rope = 9.5 m

The length of a small piece of rope = 1.9 m Number of small pieces = 9.5 m ÷ 1.9 m

= 9.5 / 1.9 = 9.5× 10 / 1.9 × 10

= 95 / 19 = 5

So , she will get 5 small pieces of rope .
