₹14.40

Given :-

cost = 40 rupees /cm

BD = 6cm , AO = 4cm , CO = 8cm

To find :-

cost of making the kite

Solution :-

Area of kite :

= area of ∆ AOB + ∆ AOD + ∆ BOC + ∆ COD

= area of right angled triangle

 \frac{1}{2}  \times l \times w

so , using the given formula we can find the answer

let's put the values

 \\  = 2 (\frac{1}{2}  \times 3 \times 4) + 2( \frac{1}{2}  \times 3 \times 8) \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  (\because \: OA   \: \: and \:  \:  O C \: are \:   \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: perpendicular \: to \: BD) \\  = 2 + 24 \\  = 36 {cm}^{2}

cost of paper needed will be 36cm²

cost of 36cm² paper :

 = 40 \times 36 \\  = 1440 \: paise  \\ \\    \huge \red{=  \:  ₹ \:  14.40 \: }

Hope it will be helpful
