A knife which is used to cut fruit was immediately dipped into water containing drops of blue litmus solution. If the colour dipped in the solution changed to red, what is the nature of the fruit and why

The fruit must contain certain acidic acid ...therefore on dipping the knife in blue litmus solution it turns red...The fruit may contain citric acid...maleic acid or tartaric acid...
