Answer :

Labour receives everyday Rs 60.

Labour works for total 20 days.

So total earning of labour if he works on all 20 days = 60×20 = Rs 1200.

But labour receives total 745 in 20 days,which means he was absent on few days.

When labour is absent,he does not receive his Rs 60 for a day as well as he is fined Rs 5.

So when a labour is absent,he will miss 65 Rs a day on that absent day.

Total missed money = 1200 - 745 = Rs 455.

So the no of absent days = 455/65 = 7

●So if a labour is absent on total 7 days,he receives total Rs 745 in 20 days.

total salary of 20 days = 1200
salary obtained =745
absent loss/day = 60(work payment)+5(fine)
loss = 1200 - 745 = 455
no. of absent days = 455 / 65 = 7
no. of days worked = 13
hence Total number of days absented = 7 .................answer
