and the number of days he did not come be y.

We know that:

x+y = 20

60x-5y = 745

x = 20-y

60(20-y) - 5y = 745

1200 - 60y - 5y = 745

-65y = -455

65y = 455

y = 455/65

y = 7

x = 20-y

x = 20-7

x = 13
