\sf\large\underline{Given:}

  • \rm{A\: labour\:paid\: amount\:for\: present\:day=Rs.350}
  • \rm{A\: labour\:fined\: amount\:for\:absent\:day=Rs.75}
  • \rm{Total\: amount\: received\:by\: labour\:in\:a\:month=Rs.7100}

\sf\large\underline{To\: Find:}

  • \rm{The\: Number\:of\: absent\:days=?}

\sf\large\underline{Solution:}

\rm{\implies Let\:The\: number\:of\: absent\: days=x}

\rm{\implies The\: number\:of\: present\: days=30-x}

\sf\large\underline{A.T.Q:}

\rm{\implies Present\:_{days}-Absent\:_{days}=Total\: amount}

\rm{\implies 350(30-x)-75(x)=7100}

\rm{\implies 10500-350x-75=7100}

\rm{\implies -350x-75x=7100-10500}

\rm{\implies -425x=-3400}

\rm{\implies 425x=3400}

\rm{\implies x=8}

  • Now, putting the value of x to calculate present and absent days here]

\rm{\implies Present\:_{days}=30-x}

\rm{\implies Present\:_{days}=30-8}

\rm{\implies Present\:_{days}=22}

\rm{\implies Absent\:_{days}=x}

\rm{\implies Absent\:_{days}=8}

\sf\large{Hence,}

\rm{\implies The\: Number\:_{absent\:days}=8}

Question : -A labour is paid 350 rupees for each day he works and is fined 75 rupees for each day he is absent if he receives 7100 Rupees as wages in a certain month find the number of days he remain absent

Answer : -

A/q ,

Let the number of days he present be

" x "

So the number of absenties be " 30 - x "

So ,

350 x - 75 ( 30 - x ) = 7100

=> 350 x - 2250 + 75 x = 7100

=> 425 x = 9350

=> x = 22

So no. of days he present = x = 22

no. of days he absent = 30 - x = 8
