A ladder 10 m long is leaning against a vertical wall. It makes an angle of 60° with the ground. How far is the foot of the ladder from the wall?

When we represent this as a triangle, the hypytenues is 10m. We need to find the adjacent dist to the angle 60°. 
Cos 60°= 1/2= adj/hyp
                1/2= adj/10
                 10= 2adj
                adj= 5m
∴The foot of the ladder is 5m far from the wall!
