Since we know That

Hypotenuse Squared = Square of 1st side + Square of 2nd side

Therefore , when we substitute values , we get

10^{2} =6^{2} +x^{2} \\100=36+x^{2} \\x^{2} =100-36\\x^{2} =64\\x = 8

Therefore , the distance between the foot of the ladder and wall is 8m
