The height of the point where the ladder touches the wall is 6m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A ladder 12 m long .

Ladder making angle of  60 degree with the wall.

To Find:

The height of the point where the ladder touches the wall.

Solution:

Let the length of the ladder p.

As given,A ladder 12 m long.

P=12 m.

 As given, Ladder making angle of  60 degree with the wall.

Ladder making angle with the wall \angle NMO =60\textdegree

et the The angle between the ladder and the ground is \angle MON.

           \angle MON=  90\textdegree-60\textdegree=30\textdegree

Let the Height of the wall is q meter.

sin 30\textdegree=\frac{q}{p} \\

\frac{1}{2} =\frac{q}{12} \\

q=\frac{12}{2} =6m

Thus,the height of the point where the ladder touches the wall is 6m.
