A ladder 17m long is placed such a way that it's foot is at a distance 3m from a wall and its top reaches a window 4m above the ground. Determine the length of ladder.

as the wall is perpendicular to the ground...

Now,
By Pythagoras Theorem,
AC² = AB² + BC²
AC = √4² + 3²
= √16+9
AC = √25 = 5m

Thus, the length of the ladder is 5m
