A ladder 25 m long reaches a window which is 15 m above the ground on one side of a sheet. When the foot of ladder is not moved and the ladder is turned to other side of the street it reaches a window 20 m high. find the width of the street.​

From figure △DAC and △EBC are right angled triangle.

So, by pythagorous theorem, we get

AC=24m And, CB=7m

Width of the street =AC+CB

⟹24+7=31m
