Step-by-step explanation:

A ladder 6 m long leaned against a wall . The ladder reaches the wall to a height of 4.8 m. Find the distance between the wall a

As wall is always perpendicular so

In the triangle by Pythagoras theorem

(wall length)square + (length between the wall and the foot of ladder) square =(length of ladder) square

4.8 square + length between the wall and the foot of the wall square = 6 square

23.04+length between wall and ladder square = 36

Length square = 36 - 23.04

Length = under root 12.96

Length = 3.6m
