here is your solution

Given:-

A ladder is 10 m tall (hypotenuse)

foot of the ladder is 6m (base)

height of the wall(perpendicular)

let,
height of wall =p

Now using

pythagoream theorem

h {}^{2} = p { }^{2} + b {}^{2} \\ 10 {}^{2} = p {}^{2} + 6 {}^{2} \\ p {}^{2} = 10 {}^{2} - 6 {}^{2} \\ p {}^{2} \: = 100 - 36 \\ p {}^{2} = 64 \\ p = 8
so hence

height of wall is 8m
