ANSWER:-

Given:

Distance from wall=BC= 12m

Height of window= AC= 9m

To find:

Length of the ladder =AB?

Solution:

Since, the wall will be perpendicular to the ground.

angle ACB= 90°

∆ABC is a right angle triangle.

So,

Using Pythagoras theorem, we get;

(Hypotenuse)² =(Height)² + (Base)²

=) (AB)² = (AC)² + (BC)²

=) AB² = 9² + 12²

=) AB² = 81 + 144

=) AB² = 225

=) AB= √225

=) AB= 15m

Hence,

The length of the ladder=AB= 15m.

Hope it helps ☺️
