Hey Mate,

→  Given Question :

. A ladder is resting against a wall. The top of the ladder touches the wall at height of 12 m. Find the length of the ladder if the length is 6 m more than its distance from the wall.

To find :

. Find the lenght of the ladder   = ?

→  Given  :

. Lenght = 6 m

. Height = 12m

→ solution:

⇒ Let Distance from wall be  m.

⇒ Length , L = x + 6

⇒( x + 6 ) ² = 12² + x²

⇒ x² + 12x + 36 - 144 -x² = 0

⇒ 12x  - 108  = 0

⇒ 12x = 108

⇒ 12x = 108

⇒ x =

⇒ 9

⇒ Length  = 9 + 6 = 15

⇒ Ans : length = 15m

⇒ Final Answer : 15m

Answer:

> the distance from the wall be a (x) m

> length L = x + 6

> ( x + 6 ) square = 12 square + x square

> x square + 12 x + 36 - 144 - x = 0

> 12 x - 108 = 0

> 12x = 108

> x = 108 / 12

= 9

= Length = 9 + 6

= 15

hence the answer is 15

final answer is 15
