surface = base = 2.5 m (given) ; wall = perpendicular .

●we know that ,

trignometric ratio of cos(theta) = base / hypotenuse .

●therefore , we have ,

cos60° = base /hypotenuse = 2.5 / x

cos60° = base /hypotenuse = 2.5 / x1/2 = 2.5 / x [ cos60° = 1/2 ]

cos60° = base /hypotenuse = 2.5 / x1/2 = 2.5 / x [ cos60° = 1/2 ]therefore , x = (2.5 × 2) = 5 m (ANSWER)
