If the angle is 45 degree then
cos45=x/15
1/root2=x/15
x=15 root2/2
If the angle is 60 degree
1/2=x/15
x=7.5m
If the angle is 30 degree
root3/2=x/15
x=15root3/2

ankithgshetty250: not angle 45, its 40
Vansh1712: Are u sure?
Vansh1712: cos40 degree=x/15 so, 0.766=x/15 , x=0.766×15=11.49
Vansh1712: Pls mark that as brainliest

Answer:

3.93 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given A ladder of 15m long reaches wall if ladder is 15m and angle 40 and distance between the foot of ladder to wall is??

Length of ladder is 15 m. Let us take AC = 15 m which is hypotenuse in  triangle ABC

Let angle between ladder and ground be 90 since it forms a right angle triangle

So it will be 90 - 40 = 50 degree and height is BC

From triangle ABC,

sin 50 = BC /15

BC = 15 x sin 50

 BC = 3.93 m
