17 square = x square + 8 square
=289 - 64
=225

We will solve this by Pythagoras Theorem

Here the ladder is the hypotenuse the distance between ladder and building is base, Here we have to find the length of the building .

PR^{2} = PQ^{2} + QR^{2} \\ 17^{2} = PQ^{2} + 8^{2}\\ 289 = PQ^{2}+ 64\\ PQ^{2} = 289 - 64\\ PQ^{2} =225 \\ PQ = \sqrt{225}\\ PQ = 15


So the height  of the building is 15 m
