2 m will be the distance from the wall now

Step-by-step explanation:

A ladder resting against a vertical wall has its foot on the ground at a distance of 6m from the wall

A man on the ground climbs two-third of the ladder .

Let say Ladder length = 3L

Then man climbed = 2L

let say  d m is the horizontal distance from wall now

then horizontal Distance covered   = 6 - d  m

(6 - d)/6  = 2L/3L

=> 6 - d = 4

=> d = 2

2 m will be the distance from the wall now
