Let no.of 500 rupee notes be X and 1000 rupee notes will be 175-X. (500×X)+(175-X)×1000=100000. 500×(X+350-2X)=200. X=150. Therefore 500 rupee notes are 150 and thousand rupee notes are 25

x+y=175, x=175-y

500(175-y)+1000y=100000
500(175-y)+1000y=100000
87500-500y+1000y=100000
500y=100000-87500
y=12500/500
x=175-25=150
