Answer:

The final answer is 31 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a trick question although it has a very simple answer. This

Given,

We have a lake with a small patch of lily pads growing in size. The small patch of lakes grow everyday and each day it grows double its size. That is if it covers a small part of the lake in a day then it will cover double it's size in the very next day.

We have the patch of lily pads which have grown to cover the lake in 32 days. If it manages to cover the entire lake in 32 days then half of the lake will be covered in 31 days because it doubles the size of itself in a day. If it covers half of the lake in 31 days then it will cover the entire lake in the 32nd day. This problem can also be answered using half life equations in chemistry.
