A lake has an area of 63800000000 square metres. Write this area in square
kilometres, correct to 2 significant figures. can someone please help thanku​

1km is 1000metres

so, 1 km² = 1000 x 1000 m²

i.e. 1 km² = 1,000,000 m²

=> 63,800,000,000/1,000,000 = 63,800

The second significant figure is 3 --> 3000

so, to the nearest 1000 we have 64,000 (2 s.f)

15x - 5x < 2 + 43

so, 10x < 45

i.e. x < 4.5

Therefore, if x is a positive integer then x = 1, 2, 3 or 4
