60
Ans:- total power consumed in watt is 60+800= 860 watt
Work in a day for 6 hours
Total energy consumed in 1 day = 860* 6= 5160wh
Convert in kwh
5160/1000= 5.16kwh
Energy consumed for 30 days = 5.16*30= [154.8] ans

Given:

  • Rating of lamp = 60 watt
  • Rating of iron = 800 watt
  • They are used daily for 6 hours

To find:

Net energy used in 30 days ?

Calculation:

First of all, the net power used by the two devices are :

P = 60 + 800 = 860 \: watt

 \implies P = \dfrac{ 860}{1000} \:kilo watt

 \implies P = 0.86 \:kilo watt

Now, net energy in a day :

 \implies E = P \times t

 \implies E = 0.86 \times6

 \implies E = 5.16 \: kw \: hr

Now, net energy in 30 days :

 \implies E_{net} = 5.16 \times 30

 \implies E_{net} = 154.8 \: kw \: hr

So, 154.8 kW hr energy is used by the two devices in 30 days.
