Given :

A lane is 45 m long and 32 m wide.

To Find :

find the cost of levelling it at the rate of Rs 2.50 per square metre.

Solution:

Length of lane = 45 m

Width of lane = 32 m

Area of lane = Length \times Breadth = 45 \times 32 =1440 sq.m.

Cost of leveling 1 sq.m. = Rs.2.50

Cost of leveling 1440 sq.m. =2.50 \times 1440 =3600

Hence the cost of levelling it at the rate of Rs 2.50 per square metre is Rs.3600
